Student Achievements

  1. The paper titled “IoT Integrated Smart Mirror for Continuous Health and Wellness Monitoring,” authored by Navyashree Ganpisetty, Charan Teja, Sneha Hugar, Sudhanva S., Divyabhavani, and Dr. Shalini J., received the Best Research Paper Award at the ICRIET-2025 International Conference held on May 9th–10th, 2025, at K.S. Institute of Technology and Management, Bengaluru. The work was an industry-connect project proposed by Prof. Jakkali, mentored by Dr. Shalini J., and funded by RVEI.
  2. Janke Rishitha (4th Sem, ECE) secured the Bronze Medal at the VTU State-Level Taekwondo Women’s Championship held at Bangalore Institute of Technology on 16th–17th April 2025, bringing laurels to the institution.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering achieved academic distinction with its student securing VTU 1st Rank with a CGPA of 9.78 and winning 11 Gold Medals, including the Sri. S. Nagappa Memorial Gold Medal for the highest scorer across all VTU UG Engineering streams and the VTU Gold Medal for ECE, reflecting the department’s strong academic mentoring and performance.

Student Achievements

  1. Mohith R Achar and Issac Samuel Paul won 1st prize in Paper Presentation at VTU Technical Fest Yukti-24 State Level Event held on 13th Jan 2024 at VTU Belagavi Campus.
  2. Navyashree Ganpisheet 1st prize in State Level Project Exhibition held on 22nd Dec 2024 at NIE Mysore
  3. Mayuresh Pareek (6th Sem), Shreya Gangadhar (6th Sem), Roohi Gooty (6th Sem), and Soham Mandal (4th Sem), as part of a twelve-member student team, represented our institution at the E-Summit hosted by IIT Bombay and achieved remarkable success in the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC), securing a position among the top 65 out of 1500+ colleges and advancing to the NEC Finals with an impressive All-India Rank of 17th.
  4. Kalyani S.R. and Bharat S. Simha of VII Semester, ECE, attended the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) of NCC held in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, from 2nd October to 11th October, where they represented the state of Karnataka as part of the Karnataka & Goa Directorate of NCC. They actively participated in various literary, cultural, and sports competitions conducted during the camp and secured 1st place in the state/directorate-wise group singing competition.
  5. Barsha(1RF23EC019) from the 2nd semester ECE department won Gold medal -01 ( 50mtr Breast Stroke), and Bronze medal 03( 50 mtr, 100 mtr Back stroke, 100 mtrBreast Stroke) in the VTU state level Swimming Competition Men and Women2024-25 held at RVITM college (BAC- Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre) on 19th and 20th 2024. 
  6. Risheek, 3rd Sem ECE, and Shricharan, 3rd Sem ECE, won 1st Prize in the Line Follower Robot Competition in QuantumX-24 held at New Horizon College of Engineering.
  7. Kaushik, Sumukh, Mridul, Ankush, Venu Gopal B.T. “Dynamic Deep Learning Algorithm in Medical Diagnosis and Detection” won the first prize in the National Conference on Digital Technology and Engineering (NCDTE-2024), RVITM Bengaluru, May 2, 2024
  8. Project titled “Embedded Smart Shoes for the Visually Impaired”, along with students Jayanthi Pavan Sathvik, Ankit Param, Greeshma Bharath and Uma Guruprasad under the guidance of Dr. Nataraj V, was sponsored by KSCST, Bangalore

  1. Adithya S, Arushi Sarkar, R Chandradhar Goud, Venkatavardhan S, Judith Varghese Qualified for the Grand finale in the 1st edition of Youth Zest Virtual Engineering Project Contest, organised by the Indian Institute of Projects Technology 2021.
  2. Veeresh J participated in Suryathon 2021 and completed 516 Suryanamaskars as a part of the International Yoga Day Celebration, which helped in raising a fund of Rs. 5,160 to support the education of children who lost their parents due to Covid-19.
  3. Chihnitha B has participated in "Hackathon Series 2", a state-level coding competition organised by ISTE- Karnataka Section held from 8th to 13th of June, 2021.
  4. Jayanthi Pavan Sathvik participated in the technical quiz organised by the Quiz Club, dept. in mathematics, RVITM and scored 85%.
  5. John Justina participated in the Guinness World Record event for the most users to take an online computer programming lesson in 24 hours, organised by GUVI in association with AICTE and Buddi.ai on 24th April 2021.
