About:
The Statutory Online Grievance Redressal Committee is constituted in accordance with the provisions of the AICTE Act, Clause 1 of Section 23. The Committee is established to uphold transparency, accountability, and fairness among all stakeholders involved in the delivery of quality technical education. It serves as an accessible and structured platform for students and staff to submit their grievances online and ensures their timely and impartial redressal through well-defined procedures and constructive deliberations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. The Online Grievance Redressal Committee shall consider grievances or issues raised by students and staff only when they are submitted through formal applications.
  2. All grievance applications shall be submitted online to the Principal’s official email ID: principal.rvitm@rvei.edu.in, RV Educational Institutions RV Institute of Technology and Management
  3. The Committee shall conduct a necessary and impartial enquiry with the support of its members and shall resolve issues through deliberations or by recommending appropriate remedial measures, such as corrective actions, penalties, or cancellation, subject to the approval of the Committee Chairperson.
  4. Grievances related to women shall be received, examined, and addressed exclusively by women faculty members, in accordance with institutional policies and statutory guidelines.
  5. All grievances received, along with the actions taken, shall be systematically recorded and documented for future reference.
  6. The Committee shall strive to promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, professional, and healthy academic environment within the institution, in compliance with AICTE norms and regulations.

The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted in accordance with AICTE regulations to prevent, prohibit, and eliminate all forms of ragging in AICTE-approved technical institutions. The Committee members actively monitor student activities during working hours within the college premises to ensure a safe and disciplined academic environment. Any instance of ragging observed or reported shall be immediately brought to the notice of the Convener for prompt and appropriate action, in line with institutional policies and statutory guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the prevention, prohibition, and complete elimination of ragging within the institution in strict compliance with AICTE and UGC norms.
  • Monitor student activities during working hours across the campus, including classrooms, laboratories, corridors, hostels, and other common areas.
  • Create awareness among students about anti-ragging policies, consequences, and the institution’s zero-tolerance approach through orientation programmes, awareness campaigns, and official communications. 
  • Receive complaints related to ragging and conduct prompt, fair, and impartial enquiries in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Immediately report any incident of ragging to the Principal for appropriate disciplinary action. 
  • Recommend suitable punitive or corrective measures against offenders, commensurate with the severity of the incident and in line with institutional rules and statutory guidelines. 
  • Ensure confidentiality and provide necessary protection to complainants and victims throughout the grievance redressal process. 
  • Maintain accurate records and systematic documentation of complaints received and actions taken.
  • Promote and sustain a safe, disciplined, and healthy academic environment for all students.

The Anti-Ragging Squad (ARS) is constituted in accordance with AICTE and UGC guidelines to ensure the prevention, prohibition, and elimination of ragging in the institution. The Squad functions as a vigilant and proactive body that continuously monitors student activities across the campus, including classrooms, laboratories, corridors, hostels, and common areas during working hours. It conducts regular patrols and surprise checks to identify and prevent any form of ragging at an early stage. In the event of any suspected or reported incident, the Squad immediately intervenes, conducts a preliminary enquiry, and reports the matter to the Anti-Ragging Committee and the Principal for necessary action.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Regularly monitor and patrol classrooms, laboratories, corridors, hostels, and common areas during working hours. 
  • Conduct surprise checks to identify and prevent any form of ragging or indiscipline at an early stage. 
  • Receive information or complaints related to ragging from students, staff, or other stakeholders.
  • Immediately intervene in cases of suspected or reported incidents of ragging. 
  • Conduct a preliminary enquiry to verify facts and assess the severity of the incident. 
  • Report incidents, along with findings, to the Anti-Ragging Committee and the Principal without delay. 
  • Assist the Anti-Ragging Committee in further enquiries and in the implementation of disciplinary actions in accordance with AICTE and UGC norms. 
  • Create awareness among students regarding anti-ragging regulations and their consequences. 
  • Maintain proper records and documentation of observations, complaints received, and actions taken.

The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) is established to promote gender equality, ensure the overall development of women students and staff, and create a safe, supportive, and inclusive institutional environment. The Cell functions in alignment with national policies and statutory guidelines to empower women academically, professionally, socially, and emotionally. The Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee (ASHC) is a statutory body constituted to ensure a campus environment free from all forms of sexual harassment. It serves as a preventive and redressal mechanism that sensitizes the institutional community about the provisions of the POSH Act and institutional ethical standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate representation of women faculty members, staff, and students in the constitution of the Cell/Committee. 
  • Consider grievances or concerns of students and staff only through formal applications, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity in handling all complaints. 
  • Receive applications online through the Principal’s email ID: principal.rvitm@rvei.edu.in 
  • Conduct necessary enquiries with the support of Committee members and resolve issues through discussion or by recommending appropriate remedial measures such as cancellation, penalties, or other corrective actions, with the approval of the Head of the Institution.

The Women Empowerment (WE) Cell and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee (ASHC), collectively referred to as the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), are constituted in workplaces and educational institutions to prevent, prohibit, and redress issues related to gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment. The ICC is a statutory body mandated under The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Committee functions to ensure a safe and secure environment for women, prevent sexual harassment, provide an effective redressal mechanism, promote gender equality, and empower women within the institution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and periodically review institutional guidelines and a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment in accordance with the POSH Act, 2013. 
  • Complaint Handling: Receive written or oral complaints of sexual harassment, provide necessary assistance to the complainant, and conduct fair, timely, and impartial enquiries in adherence to the principles of natural justice. 
  • Investigation and Recommendation: Investigate complaints, document the enquiry process and findings, and recommend appropriate disciplinary or punitive action against those found guilty, which may include written apology, counselling, warning, suspension, or termination of services, as per institutional rules and statutory provisions. 
  • Confidentiality and Support: Ensure strict confidentiality of the complaint, enquiry proceedings, and outcomes, and facilitate support services such as counselling, security assistance, or interim relief, including transfer of the aggrieved woman or the respondent, wherever required. 
  • Awareness and Sensitization: Organize gender-sensitization programmes, awareness campaigns, and workshops on workplace ethics and relevant laws, including the POSH Act, 2013.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a statutory body established in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to ensure continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance. It is promoted by accreditation and regulatory bodies such as NAAC and UGC. The primary role of the IQAC is to develop and maintain quality benchmarks, foster a learner-centric teaching–learning environment, collect and analyze stakeholder feedback, coordinate quality-related initiatives, and prepare the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for accreditation processes. Through these functions, the IQAC aims to institutionalize a culture of quality and excellence across the institution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Quality Benchmarking: Develop and implement quality benchmarks and standards for all academic and administrative activities of the institution. 
  • Learner-Centric Focus: Foster a learner-centric teaching–learning environment by promoting innovative pedagogical practices and the effective use of modern technologies. 
  • Feedback Mechanism: Collect, analyze, and utilize feedback from students, faculty, parents, and other stakeholders to enhance institutional performance. 
  • Coordination: Act as the nodal agency for planning, coordinating, and monitoring quality-related activities and the dissemination of best practices. 
  • Documentation: Document quality initiatives and improvements, and maintain an institutional database and Management Information System (MIS) for quality assurance. 
  • Workshops and Seminars: Organize workshops, seminars, and training programmes focused on quality enhancement and continuous improvement.

The Committee functions as a grievance redressal and support mechanism, oversees the implementation of reservation policies, and promotes inclusive institutional development. The Committee addresses academic and administrative concerns, provides counselling and guidance to students, creates awareness about welfare schemes and benefits available to reserved categories, and monitors the implementation of government policies and directives. Through these initiatives, it aims to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning and working environment within the institution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a forum to address and resolve academic, administrative, and personal issues faced by SC/ST/OBC/Minority students and employees. 
  • Ensure the effective implementation of reservation policies and welfare schemes of the Government of India and the UGC. 
  • Inform students about scholarships, government benefits, support schemes, and career development opportunities available to them.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Committee is constituted to plan, coordinate, and implement community service activities in alignment with the objectives of the NSS and the vision of social responsibility and national development. The Committee acts as a bridge between the institutional administration, faculty members, and student volunteers to ensure effective execution of NSS programmes. The Committee organizes regular activities such as cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, awareness programmes, and social outreach initiatives, in addition to special NSS camps. It is responsible for planning, logistics, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of all NSS activities. The Chairperson/Principal provides overall guidance, Programme Officers (faculty members) oversee day-to-day management, and Student Coordinators and Volunteers actively participate in implementation, with a focus on community engagement, leadership development, and enhancement of social and life skills.

Roles and Respnsibility:

  1. NSS Committee (Overall Body) 
    1. Planning and Policy: Formulate annual NSS plans, budgets, and strategies for college-level activities. 
    2. Coordination: Liaise with University/State NSS offices and local NGOs for joint programmes such as health camps, awareness drives, and disaster-relief activities. 
    3. Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of NSS activities, ensure adherence to NSS guidelines, and assess programme outcomes and impact. •
    4. Reporting: Prepare and submit activity reports, utilization certificates, and required returns to higher authorities, including the University and State NSS Cell.
  2. Chairperson (Principal / Head of Institution)
    1.  Provide overall leadership and ensure necessary administrative and budgetary support for NSS activities. 
    2. Approve annual plans and periodically review and monitor progress at the institutional level.

The Institute Innovation Council (IIC) is established in Higher Education Institutions to promote a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus. The Council facilitates a wide range of activities aimed at nurturing creativity and innovation among students and faculty members. These include organizing entrepreneurship and innovation-
focused programmes, mentoring student innovators, establishing pre-incubation and incubation support mechanisms, and fostering linkages with industry experts, startups, investors, and innovation networks. The IIC supports intellectual property (IP) creation and management, encourages idea scouting, and promotes design thinking, hackathons, and problem-solving challenges. It also prepares institutions for national innovation initiatives such as the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA). Through these initiatives, the IIC aims to cultivate a culture of creativity, experimentation, and technology-driven solutions to address societal and industrial challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ecosystem Development: Foster a vibrant, campus-wide ecosystem that encourages innovation, experimentation, creativity, and calculated risk-taking. 
  • Activity Implementation: Organize and implement regular innovation and entrepreneurship activities such as workshops, seminars, bootcamps, ideation challenges, and hackathons in accordance with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Innovation Cell. 
  • Idea and Project Support: Identify, mentor, and support high-potential student and faculty innovations, facilitating progression from ideation and proof-of-concept to prototyping and commercialization. 
  • Startup Incubation: Establish and strengthen pre-incubation and incubation support systems, provide mentoring, and facilitate access to funding, infrastructure, and entrepreneurial resources. 
  • Industry and Investor Linkages: Build and maintain collaborations with industry professionals, startups, investors, research organizations, and innovation networks to enable partnerships, technology transfer, and market exposure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. The Online Grievance Redressal Committee shall consider grievances or issues raised by students and staff only when they are submitted through formal applications.

The Women Empowerment (WE) Cell and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee (ASHC), collectively referred to as the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), are constituted in workplaces and educational institutions to prevent, prohibit, and redress issues related to gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment. The ICC is a statutory body mandated under The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Committee functions to ensure a safe and secure environment for women, prevent sexual harassment, provide an effective redressal mechanism, promote gender equality, and empower women within the institution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and periodically review institutional guidelines and a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment in accordance with the POSH Act, 2013. 
  • Complaint Handling: Receive written or oral complaints of sexual harassment, provide necessary assistance to the complainant, and conduct fair, timely, and impartial enquiries in adherence to the principles of natural justice. 
  • Investigation and Recommendation: Investigate complaints, document the enquiry process and findings, and recommend appropriate disciplinary or punitive action against those found guilty, which may include written apology, counselling, warning, suspension, or termination of services, as per institutional rules and statutory provisions.
