ECE Department organized Faculty Development Program on VLSI IC Design and Avenues of Interdisciplinary Research from 27th Feb 2023 to 3rd March 2023. People from premier Academic institutions and Industries were invited as resource persons. Principal, Dr.Jayapal R inaugurated the program. Dr. Prashant P, Vice Principal and Head of Dept, ECE, welcomed all the participants to the program. 22 participants comprising of Faculties from neighbouring engineering colleges and In-house faculty members attended the program. Mr.Priyanshu Datta, Field Application Engineer Entuple Technologies, delivered hands on sessions on semi-custom IC design flow, Full custom design flow and AMS design flow using Cadence. Dr. Ravish Aradhya, RVCE Bangalore delivered a talk on Low power VLSI Design in the program. Dr. Nataraj V, ECE Dept, RVITM delivered a enlightening lecture on Avenues for VLSI and Inter-Disciplinary research. Prof. Nagesh M delivered a informative talk on Application design using System Verilog. Mr.Sharan. A, Field Application Engineer from CoreEL Technologies, delivered a hands on session on Advance image processing operations on FPGAs. FDP gave hands on experience on VLSI IC Design Cycle along with exposure towards state of art research and Multi-disciplinary research in VLSI. Dr. Nataraj V coordinated the faculty development program along with student’s coordinator Mr. Mohit Acharya.
