Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a Technical Webinar on “Role of Mechanical Engineer in an Industry” to the third semester mechanical students of RVITM. Dr. Renukanand moderated the entire webinar. The webinar started with Welcome address was given by Dr Nataraj K M, HOD, Dept of ME, RVITM and followed by the introduction of the Guest Speaker Mr. Lohit K, by Dr. Lokesh P, Dept of ME, RVITM.

Mr. Lohit K, is a Senior Executive-Maintenance Engineer at The printers (Mysore) Pvt. Ltd, Publishers of Deccan Herald & Prajavani Bangalore. He started the session with definition of mechanical engineer and his roles and responsibilities in processing industry. The speaker explained various streams of mechanical engineering departments and the importance of each stream in the industry. He discussed the various basic aspects of mechanical engineering such as machines, tools and safety equipment’s used in the different industries. The speaker gives insight of the how printing technology industry works by demonstrating the video. The webinar was concluded after a question and answer session interacting with students and followed by vote of thanks by Dr. Lokesh P, Dept of ME, RVITM.
