UiPath is a US Based company that was founded in the year 2005. Since then it has grown manifold. The company has various products out of which Robotic Process Automation and the associated tools stands out. The tools offered by UiPath can disrupt the way we work daily. As a company they are dedicated to training, upskilling and shaping up people to the changing job roles which is very relevant today. That is where Academic Alliance comes into picture.
With this alliance, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, RVITM will be able to equip the students with RPA technology and Tools. On 12th November 2020, 3:30 PM inauguration of the academic alliance between UiPath Academy and CS dept, RV Institute of Technology and Management was held.
The event started with an invocation by Ms. Shamili, student, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, RVITM. HoD-CSE Dr.AnithaJayapla delivered the welcome address followed by an introduction to the Academic Alliance and the programs that come under Academic Alliance by Dr. Sharon Christa I. L. Mr. Dasavadarshan who leads the UiPath Academic Alliance program for Indian & SAARC countries along with Principal Dr. Jayapal R, RVITM inaugurated the Academic Alliance Program. Further, Mr. Basavadarshan delivered a talk on the commitment of UiPath towards equipping the students with futuristic technologies under Robotic Process Automation.
Principal Dr. Jayapal R, RVITM delivered the presidential address which was followed by the talk on Robotic Process Automation delivered by Mr. Chandrashekhar Padolae, Group Manager-Watson & Cognitive Technologies, IBM. He is an RPA practitioner. Mr. Chandrashekhar Padolae started his talk from the need for automation and what is RPA. He explained that RPA is not about building hardware robots but developing software robots to automate repetitive mundane tasks. Further he presented several real time use cases in which RPA is deployed in the industry. He explained the benefits of RPA and concluded the session with a Q & A.
Dr. Asha S Manek, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering delivered the Vote of Thanks and concluded the event.

Mr. Chandrashekhar Padolae is a Group Manager-Watson & Cognitive Technologies, IBM. He is an RPA practitioner. He has done his BE & M.E in Electronics Engineering and is currently pursuing PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from European University.
He has an experience of 20 years, mix of Teaching, Research and Industry in Electronics, Biomedical and IT (Computer Tech) and has around 25 research papers to his credit in International conferences and Journals.
His area of expertise being NLP, Image-video Processing, Algorithms, Machine Learning, Intelligent Systems, Data Analytic, IoT , ETL-BigData, Robotic Process Automation & Cloud Computing in Technologies. He has also expertised in Programming Languages like C/C++, Python, Java, MATLAB, JavaScript, R. For BigData: Hadoop, PySpark, Flume, Hive, Pig, Spark, MongoDB , ETL. For Cloud/Server: Node.js, Django, JavaScript, Bluemix, OpenWhisk (Serverless computing).
