Information Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) /Information Science and Engineering (ISE) are two of the four departments at R.V. Institute of Technology and Management. It started in the year 2019 with an intake of 60 students for undergraduate programme. The department has well qualified, experienced and committed faculty to impart quality industry tuned education to the students. The Department Infrastructure fulfils the requirements of academics, supports research and learning skills on the latest cutting-edge technology in the industry. The department is the centre of excellence in providing in-depth technical knowledge and opportunities for innovation and research with up-to-date computer facilities.

 

The students of the department are moulded with different multi-dimensional skill sets, which covers all the required attributes. More focus is emphasized on the practical learning. The CSE department’s major strengths include its high faculty-to-student ratio, state of the art facilities, renowned faculty, strong focus on undergraduate education balanced with leading-edge research, and emphasis on leadership, service, and ethics.

To develop technically competent computer professionals acquainted with recent trends and technologies of IT industry to meet the challenges of society.

 

Mission:

  • To educate the students in the areas of computer science by providing best practices of ICT enabled teaching learning tools.
  • To train computer Professionals to cope with current industrial standards and adapt to the emerging Information technologies.
  • To inculcate students with discipline, professional social ethics and human values.

Short Term Goals

  • Familiarize students with recent technologies of IT industries and breakthroughs in Information and Technology field.
  • To help students apply their knowledge of computer science to the solutions of the problems arising in various disciplines.
  • Enhance students’ ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Model students as Global Citizens.
  • Inspire the students to participate in community development programs.
  • To attain Institute-Industry collaboration to the student’s level.
  • Encourage students to participate in national and international events in the field
