Department of Information Science and Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Engineering have jointly organized a Webinar on ” Introduction of Application Security “. Ms. Poornima R from ISE Department compèred the whole proceeding. The webinar started with an invocation by Ms. Pranati Empran from ISE Department. A welcome address was given by Ms Poornima.  Dr. Jayapal R, Principal, RVITM was delivered the presidential address followed by Dr. A. Ajina (Asst.Prof, Dept of ISE) introduction of the Chief Guest Mr Milind Daftari.

Mr. Milind Daftarihas completed his under graduation, from Sir MVIT. During his graduation he has done various internships as a Technical Intern in Central Research Laboratory, Bharat Electronics Limited, Bengaluru and Mistral Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru and As a Cybersecurity Intern in Capgemini Technology Services India Limited, Bengaluru.

Currently he is working as a software Engineering in Altruista Health Services Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, He was awarded the Star Performer Award of the year 2020 in altruista health for having the best performance out of 400 employees for the contributions in Application Security and DevOps Automation.

Milind started the session with importance of security in day to life. Then he discussed following topics

• The different types of security.
• The different measures to implement Application Security.
• OWASP Top10 rules for the website application security vulnerability.
• Case study about the login credentials and authentication
• how to prevent the injection and broken vulnerability
• Task of application security
• What is the challenge in security organization
• Cyber security career

The event concluded after a Q & A session followed by Vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak N A (Assoc.Prof, Dept of CSE).
